The Verdict: If you want to experience literary nostalgia go watch Steven Spielberg’s The BFG. It felt like this movie was just an excuse to cram as much CGI into every scene as possible. Tarzan is no stranger to the silver screen (the character was created during the rise of early cinema, and his name has appeared in the titles of more than 200 different movies during the last 100. This was disappointing, and even Christoph Waltz and his acting pedigree couldn’t save it.
